A2 Media - Blogging time!

Here is what needs to be on there by there by MONDAY:
•Make a banner for your blog
•Ensure you have a labels gadget – can you use the label 'INFLUENCES' please – when you complete research you should be noting down anything that you find interesting or anything you would like to try or experiment with – when you do make these comments on any posts ensure you label the post with INFLUENCES so I can keep track
•Write a Brief for this project add it to your blog – check the OCR website if you are unsure
•Goodwin notes – from first lesson
•History of music video notes
•Jay Z analysis notes
•Postmodernism homework ‘Postmodernism is a shortcut to mass audiences’ discuss – this should include an example video - the evaluation prompts are also in that lesson
•Select your favourite music video, add a link to it to your blog and  a) write about why you like it b) apply Goodwin’s theory. You will have to present your video to the class next lesson
•Record Industry Research – Majors vs. Indies (the research questions I set are in the
Complete a cross media case study for an artiste or group who creates the genre of music that you would like to work in for your music video - this should include an analysis of one of their music videos.
- And explaination of 'The Culture Industry' and why it is important to understand it. Please include relevant examples of an artist who adheres to A&H theory and one who does not.




NEXT WEEK1) We will be completing a DIRECTOR CASE Study
It will include an analysis of one of their music video and of course you must utilise Goodwin – this will be good as an ‘INFLUENCES’ post
Include: Why you chose the director? (please don't write that you like their videos there has to be more to it than that), Some background, how did they start in their career? What is their signature style? Has their style changed/evolved? Who do they frequently work with? What influences will you take from their work?
